Joshua (Civil Servant)

Syamim was a recommendation from a colleague of mine, as Syamim had been his advisor for many years. After my first meeting with him, I found that his financial planning for my goals for both my short term and long term were very well done and in-depth. The advice given has been extremely beneficial for me. He was able to show roughly how much I would have if I have saved and how much I required for my specific goals in life, so that I would be able to not worry about my finances. As compared to other financial advisors, Syamim gave a more personal touch I feel. He seemed more genuine and only advised me on what I needed. I felt more comfortable, especially since he was also in my shoes during his NS, and he understood what risks there were and what challenges I may face financially or physically in my line of work. I would definitely recommend meeting Syamim! He is very down to earth and genuine. He looks out for his clients, and regularly checks in to see how we are doing. Definitely would recommend him to others!

Saliha (Research Asssistant)

I have always wondered about my husband's FP - how involved, efficient and invested he is. My insurance agent was originally a friend, who has left the company and he handed over my policies to his colleague. A significant number of years had passed, yet I have never met my new IA and I did not receive any updates on changes in policies. I decided I would like to meet Syamim to have a 2nd opinion, and I was really glad it happened. He was calm, knowledgeable and patiently refreshed the policies I had back then. Planning for both our short and long term goals was the highlight of the meeting for me. Syamim is someone who makes you feel valuable and empower you with the belief that you are capable of change. He supports you in your retirement goals, without neglecting your current and potential needs for the family. I would definitely recommend this meeting to others! It is always good to have a 2nd opinion, and Syamim will shed light on what is the best comprehensive plan according to your needs and financial capacity.

Ian (Music Teacher)

I chose to meet Syamim because he comes across as an amicable, friendly and patient person. I find the meeting with him to be non pressuring, relaxed and we are able to share about any other interests, topics and concerns. He is able to give practical financial advise outside of the policies he is selling, just like how a friend would. I would recommend this meeting to others, as it will also encourage and empower people to think for their own finances, as they partner with Syamim, for better in their financial management.

Khairuddin (Engineer)

Syamim sets realistic targets for myself and others who I know based on our current financial status. He is not afraid to be upfront about things which he considers important for my financial well being. Always sincere and eloquent, he explains the different financial plans in a clear and concise manner. He also sets a good example for his clients and is transparent regarding all things money-related. Extroverted and approachable, I am not afraid to raise my concerns to him and he will address it objectively. One particular thing I can takeaway from him is that you do not have to be book smart to be financially smart, you just have to be prudent and realistic. My experience with him has been nothing but pleasant and I will learn new things every time we meet. I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn the ropes of good personal finance management to approach Syamim!

Khairulnizam (Business Owner)

Syamim is an outstanding advisor with an unmatched work ethic. He is empathetic to my financial circumstances and very detailed in his approach to chart a systematic plan towards financial stability and ultimately; freedom. If I can sum up Syamim in one word, it would definitely be 'PREPARATION'. Be prepared to take your first steps to a valuable life.

Sharon (Management Trainee)

I Met Syamim randomly because I signed up to get a personal finance booklet on IG. But best decision ever. “I wont advise you to invest until 6 months later, after we have tracked your cash flow” “There are more packages but I won’t sell those, cause they are really not worth. I can run through them but will refer you to someone else if you really want to buy.” “Me: I don’t really know how cpf and income tax works Syamim: *prepares an entire ppt and lecture to educate me” “Me: I have random insurance that my parents buy from different companies, but I don’t really know what they are. Syamim: *makes me send him screenshots from SingPass, pdfs from AXA and the GE app on my dad’s phone to find out what I have.” If those quotes weren’t enough, the final stroke for me was; “Syamim: *pulls out an excel sheet 10 mins into our first meeting to start calculating my cash flow and planning for things like holidays to marriage to dental appointments.” I have met more than 5 financial advisors, but all seemed to just want to “grow my wealth”. While that is important, I think understanding my wealth and giving me handles to manage it is much more important. At our age, really think financial literacy is the way to go. Syamim keeps up to date and is a really good teacher, even asked him if he considered being one. What he does is to give you the necessary knowledge to manage your own finances and make the most well informed decisions. Coming full circle, he is everything a financial advisor should be but usually isn’t - giving you good financial advise and lets you decide. What everyone else does is tell you how to grow your wealth, how to invest, how to beat inflation, another savings plan, another plan to diversify, or simply instilling some fear of the future to help you ‘invest’ early. So for all the lost souls and fresh graduates, Syamim is definitely the guy for you. I’ve actually never met anyone else who pulls out an excel sheet to plan my finances instead of drawing me some triangle, timeline or graph. He is open to teaching and advising those who already has insurance plans too, no strings attached!! So feel free to reach out. If you feel bad just get him a drink though he will probably tell you to wait till you gain enough income to buy him one :))
