| As humans, the pursuit of change and progress is something that is innate to every one of us. Like it or not, there will always be things in life that we hope could be a little different, a little better in the way that daily situations & events turn out. It could be in the way we think, speak, or the way we handle everything from our finances to our relationships with others. We seek to become better -- and we should. As we strive to continuously exceed our potential, we rise above all previous versions of ourselves and grow stronger. In this issue, we look at some ways in which we can embrace a better self and an even better future. | | The Relentless Pursuit of Improvement It is no secret that I believe growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow will be better. It is no mystery that I think personal growth is the steppingstone to success for any leader. If you or I want to stay in front of the curve and lead others, then we must do the work that keeps us out front. We must continually improve. But as I seek to improve, there is one thing I know not to chase, and that is perfection. Perfection is a trap. Do not chase perfection as a leader - chase improvement. Make today better than yesterday so tomorrow can be better than today. The relentless pursuit of improvement will take any leader far. | | I used to be jealous of other people's wealth and success - here is how I finally got over it Envy. It is an emotion that we all feel at some point. It is also a really dangerous emotion when we are trying to build a strong financial life. Envy is pure poison to a healthy financial life. After all, envy encourages us to make some pretty poor decisions. Like every other character flaw, however, envy can be overcome. You can directly reduce the envy itself, or you can at least reduce the bad choices you make as a result of envy. Here are seven strategies I use to cut envy out of my own life. | | To reach beyond your limits by training your mind | Marisa Peer | TEDxKCS | | Proudly Brought to You I seek to reach out to people who believe in safeguarding the interests of their loved ones. The best part of meeting Syamim was feeling like we were chatting with a friend rather than sitting through a stuffy financial consultation. He didn't just throw numbers at us; he listened to our hopes, fears, and crazy dreams. Together, we crafted a plan that felt like it was tailored just for us. It was like an epiphanic moment— We finally understood our finances, and had a roadmap to chase our dreams. We think everyone our age could benefit from that kind of clarity and encouragement provided by Syamim.
In the past, we’ve felt like just another number on someone's client list. But with Syamim, it was different. He made us feel heard and understood. That personal touch made all the difference.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by finances or just need a little direction, Syamim is your guy. He's not just a financial advisor; he's a cheerleader, a mentor, and a friend all rolled into one. Meeting with him was the best decision we’ve made for our financial future, and I know he can do the same for you. | | | | Amira (Admin Executive) I was not sure where to start on financial planning and which insurance to take up as I was under my dad’s insurance and I didn’t have my own insurance. So I decided to engage with Syamim as he’s someone I’m familiar with.
You will be able to oversee the plannings that he does in terms of finances and insurance. I am also able to see where and how much funds are allocated to spending and saving, which helps me to keep my budget on track. Most importantly, emergency funds. He always emphasise that it’s important to have emergency funds ready just in case any unfortunate events occur.
Syamim was the first advisor that I engaged. He did a customised financial plan for me and introduced me to the types insurance that is suitable for me. He will also review my finances and portfolio every year so that you have an idea what you took up and whether you are on track with your financial plan.
I would definitely recommend Syamim as he is comfortable to talk to, not pushy, explains everything in detail and answers any questions that you need clarification to. 👍🏻 | | | | Firdaus (Civil Servant) Syamim has been a trustworthy and reliable financial advisor to me and my family. The solutions he laid out for us has always been very easy to understand and caters to our needs and life stages.
I recommend anyone who wants to have a fuss-free advisor to meet Syamim as I believe everyone will stand to benefit regardless of your current life stage. | | | | Damo (Aerospace) Syamim was referred to me by my colleague. When I first met him, he was extremely patient and transparent towards my situation, giving financial advise that were not only limited to his products but everything in general.
I felt very comfortable with him knowing that he always puts me and my family as his top priorities. Highly recommended! | | | | Shahril & Sarfina I got to know Syamim during NS and a few years later, when me and my partner decided to get ourselves insured and do some financial planning, I knew who to call.
Syamim is very professional and efficient in his work. He gives the best financial advice to tailor to our needs.
We would strongly recommend Syamim to anyone who’s looking for a financial advisor. | | | | Irufan (Civil Servant) Once I graduated and started working, I knew insurance and wealth management was important but I never knew how to go about doing it and who I should trust. I was open to the idea of meeting Syamim but I did not want to commit at first because of the stigma of insurance agents and hard selling.
But after the first session, where Syamim sat down, planned out everything for me, he was honest and never hard selling. He prioritised what I wanted to achieve and he told me how I can go about achieving it.
He always advised and gave his inputs on the pros and cons of the different actions I could take but he would always let me decide.
What I really appreciate is the attention he pays to me as a client. He goes through my commitments, my cash flow, my goals, needs and wants and he breaks down everything in front of me.
He logically explains things that other agents tend to ignore. The focus on others is always “take this plan” “take that plan” but never really tailored to your own lifestyle needs.
I feel assured at the end of my yearly review sessions and I do not feel so lost as if I’m planning my life alone.
For young adults, those that are trying to find their footing, I would definitely suggest meeting Syamim. His professionalism is excellent and his attention to detail to me as a client is second to none. I think it’s quite rare to get professionals like Syamim. | | | | |
