So I decided to engage with Syamim as he’s someone I’m familiar with. You will be able to oversee the plannings that he does in terms of finances and insurance. I am also able to see where and how much funds are allocated to spending and saving, which helps me to keep my budget on track. Most importantly, emergency funds. He always emphasise that it’s important to have emergency funds ready just in case any unfortunate events occur. Syamim was the first advisor that I engaged. He will also review my finances and portfolio every year so that you have an idea what you took up and whether you are on track with your financial plan. I wanted to take charge of my finances and start my financial journey right as I just got a full-time job and was planning to get married. My then fiancé, now husband, introduced me to Syamim. We met for a non-obligatory consultation, and I was clueless then – no idea about what type of insurance I needed or any savings or retirement plan.
