Sharon (Management Trainee)

I Met Syamim randomly because I signed up to get a personal finance booklet on IG. But best decision ever. “I wont advise you to invest until 6 months later, after we have tracked your cash flow” “There are more packages but I won’t sell those, cause they are really not worth. I can run through them but will refer you to someone else if you really want to buy.” “Me: I don’t really know how cpf and income tax works Syamim: *prepares an entire ppt and lecture to educate me” “Me: I have random insurance that my parents buy from different companies, but I don’t really know what they are. Syamim: *makes me send him screenshots from SingPass, pdfs from AXA and the GE app on my dad’s phone to find out what I have.” If those quotes weren’t enough, the final stroke for me was; “Syamim: *pulls out an excel sheet 10 mins into our first meeting to start calculating my cash flow and planning for things like holidays to marriage to dental appointments.” I have met more than 5 financial advisors, but all seemed to just want to “grow my wealth”. While that is important, I think understanding my wealth and giving me handles to manage it is much more important. At our age, really think financial literacy is the way to go. Syamim keeps up to date and is a really good teacher, even asked him if he considered being one. What he does is to give you the necessary knowledge to manage your own finances and make the most well informed decisions. Coming full circle, he is everything a financial advisor should be but usually isn’t - giving you good financial advise and lets you decide. What everyone else does is tell you how to grow your wealth, how to invest, how to beat inflation, another savings plan, another plan to diversify, or simply instilling some fear of the future to help you ‘invest’ early. So for all the lost souls and fresh graduates, Syamim is definitely the guy for you. I’ve actually never met anyone else who pulls out an excel sheet to plan my finances instead of drawing me some triangle, timeline or graph. He is open to teaching and advising those who already has insurance plans too, no strings attached!! So feel free to reach out. If you feel bad just get him a drink though he will probably tell you to wait till you gain enough income to buy him one :))

Haidil (Civil servant)

I met Syamim as he was the financial advisor to many of my friends and colleagues. The financial planning and projection of my goals through his excel sheet allowed me to balance and plan my goals not only for the short term but also for the longer term. In addition, I got to know the importance of having adequate insurance cover in order to live my life without worries. Syamim was different to other advisors that I have met as he went through the extra mile to personalize his solutions to my needs and situation and makes the effort to conduct yearly reviews to ensure I am on track with my goals. I would definitely recommend others to meet Syamim

Eizaaz (Port Inspector)

Meeting with Syamim gave me insight of my financial and assisted me with my financial planning. I gained a greater understanding on the best approach on planning my finances. At the same time, he went through in details the different types of insurance & investments, allowing me to balance out what I need and what I want. He goes the extra mile to assist and was not pushy on his services. All in all the meeting felt very comfortable, creating a pleasant experience when having sessions with him. I would definitely recommend him to everyone such sincere and great guy.

Dinie (Port planner)

Syamim was initially recommended to me by my sister and brother in law who had their insurance/investment portfolios managed by him. Based on their positive feedback I decided to meet Syamim to assist me in my financial planning. During the meet-up, Syamim explained the fundamentals of planning in an easy to understand manner to and how to reach my financial goals comfortably. He also assessed my current financial situation and laid out the best options and policies that suit my lifestyle. My previous experience with financial advisors was very different as I didn’t meet my new advisor ever since my friend who was my original advisor left the company/industry. I felt that whatever I had previously was enough and didn’t require further reviews. After meeting Syamim, I finally understood how important regular reviews are to update on any changes to policies as well as keeping me on track towards my financial goals. Syamim is very friendly and at the same time professional in his work. He’s also honest in giving advise and does not hard sell any policies that does not suit my goals. Do hit him up for financial advise as he is 100% recommended!

Khalis (Technician)

I met Syamim with an open mind to know more about my finances and insurance. He is a friend of mine who I used to play futsal with. It was a non obligatory meet-up but he managed to catch my interest. I seriously recommend anyone who wants to know about finances, investments and financial planning in general to meet Syamim. I believe that many lack the knowledge on buying properties, investing and how important financial planning is. What really helped me was that Syamim did an in-depth break down of my expenditure and finances working up to retirement. He made sure that I was comfortable throughout the process. He did not try to hard sell anything and made it as though it was just a catch up session with an old friend. I can ask him anything regarding insurance to real estate to medical and he can answer me with his vast amount of knowledge. Even though he is a friend, he is very professional when it comes to my finances. I genuinely feel that anyone who is interested in building their future, should meet Syamim as you will have a broader sense of your finances as a whole and the importance of financial planning and insurance.

Syahir (Civil Servant)

I would most definitely recommend everyone to meet Syamim as it is beneficial for the future.
